MODERN SCHOOL ARCHITECTS
Your school has the right mission.
Let's build a foundation.
I help new and existing microschool owners build operationally strong, culturally rich schools that students and their families love.
Modern School Architects might be a good fit if:
You are a current micro-school founder who needs support in setting up systems to help students and staff take more ownership of their roles.
You are a parent interested in opening a micro-school for your community but not sure how or where to start.
You are a homeschool parent who feels like you are micromanaging your kids all day and arguing with them to get their work done.
Hi! I'm Jackie. In 2017, I started Arete Academy, an innovative micro-school in Hampton Roads, Virginia. We now have 2 locations and serve over 100 students. Over the last eight years, I've also helped dozens of school owners get their campuses up and running. I know what makes a micro-school thrive, and I know exactly where they break down. Modern School Architects exists to bring that expertise to school owners who are ready to build something meaningful.
We exist specifically to serve schools that value:
- Student Agency and Independence
- Character, Real Education, Leadership, and Responsibility
- Mastery Over Grades
- Meaningful, Real-World Learning
- Partnerships With Families
We help leaders build schools that prepare kids for the future.
